Annual African American
Young Men's Conference

This conference was birth out of the ALPHA Academy Mentoring Program as an expansion effort to reach young males across Anne Arundel County. The African American Young Men's Conference grants the brothers a great opportunity to create a fun yet thought-provoking and interactive program for the young men that will continue to help them evolve into effective and positive leaders. One of the biggest highlights of the conference is the College and Career Fair, which has been attended by the United States Army, University of Maryland Eastern Shore, George Washington University, Bowie State University, Michigan University, ITT Technical Institute, and Morgan State University to name few. The inaugural conference took place on May 17, 2008 at Glen Burnie High School.
